State Secretary Parízek receives delegation of Greek business leaders

State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Lukáš Parízek, received today (6 March 2018) a delegation of Greek business leaders led by Ioannis Brachos, Secretary General for International Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Hellenic Republic, with Maria Louisa Marinakis, Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to the Slovak Republic, attending as well.

At their meeting State Secretary Parízek emphasized that the Slovak Republic cares about good bilateral relations with Greece and therefore it welcomes the interest of Greece in deepening mutual cooperation with Slovakia also in the economic area. He added that the Slovak Republic is a dynamically developing country with a potential for investments and joint projects in the IT sector and scientific and technological start-ups, as well as in the manufacturing and industrial sectors. 


The meeting was part of the Slovak-Greek Economic Forum, co-organized by the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 

The event was held at the Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Ministry with the objective to create a platform for discussion of the current state of affairs and other opportunities for cooperation in the economic area.

At the end of the meeting, a Memorandum between the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises and the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry was signed. 

The event was also accompanied by B2B meetings by nine Greek and eighteen Slovak companies and representatives of the cities of Bratislava and Košice.
